WEB DESIGN

“The ability to balance aesthetic appeal with functionality is crucial in creating a user-friendly digital experience.”

My journey into web design began in early 2003 when I decided to create a personal website to showcase my art. It wasn't perfect by any means, but it served its purpose. At that time, web design was heavily focused on coding. I didn't take any formal courses; instead, I taught myself by watching videos and reading books. It was a challenging endeavor, but I gained invaluable lessons that continue to benefit me today.

To me, web design is a blend of art and functionality, much like designing a magazine layout but with more complexity, layers, and pathways. Effective web design requires meticulous planning and a well-thought-out structure. A website must not only be visually appealing but also easy to navigate and update. The ability to balance aesthetic appeal with functionality is crucial in creating a user-friendly digital experience.

As I reflect on my early experiences, I realize how much the field has evolved. The principles I learned through trial and error have laid a strong foundation for my current work. Today, web design involves more advanced tools and techniques, but the core objective remains the same: to create engaging, accessible, and visually striking websites. My passion for web design continues to grow, fueled by the ever-changing landscape of technology and the endless possibilities it offers.
