“The greatest illusion in life is the idea that we have time.”
A sweeping thought, a gentle breeze of a calling. Touched by the mercy of something that your soul longs for deeply, a silent whisper in the chaos of life. The greatest illusion in life is the belief that we have time. This fleeting existence often distracts us from the soulful journey we are meant to undertake. I often hear people say, “I’m not ready yet.” The harsh truth is that we are all ready; we have just convinced ourselves otherwise for various personal reasons.
It is in the quiet moments, when we are alone with our thoughts, that we feel the true essence of our being. Our soul yearns for a deeper connection, a sense of purpose that transcends the mundane. This journey is not about waiting for the perfect moment but embracing the present with an open heart and a willing spirit. The path to fulfillment lies in recognizing that we are always ready to take the next step towards what our soul truly desires.
Here's a short story I heard a while back (author unknown):
There was once a young boy who didn’t like to pray his 5 daily prayers. He was very lazy. He thought that performing the prayers daily was very troublesome indeed.
One day, he had a great idea. He figured that he should find out which day of the week is the best day in which to pray. And he’ll pray very very well on that day. As for the rest of the week, he’ll just relax and not worry about any prayers at all.
He went to his grandfather, “Grandpa, which day of the week is the best day to pray our 5 daily prayers?”
“My grandson, the best day to pray is the day before you die.”
The boy was astonished.
“Grandpa, that’s impossible! How can I know the day of my death?”
“Exactly, my grandson,” the wise man replied, “No one knows the day of his death. That’s why we pray every single day.”
